Name That Sheep
Can anyone tell me what breed of sheep this is? Every spring, one of my bosses (Olga)shears her one sheep, Rodeo, in a highly original style. I reap the fleece. Neither one of us knows what kind she is. Any guesses?
I was out at the farm today with a co-worker. I finally got to see Olga's husband's grandmother's walking wheel. Is this cool or what?
The things in the grass under the swings? Wild ducks that hang around because Olga feeds them.

How tall is the mystery sheep? She could be a Clun Forest or a Suffolk (meat sheep). I looked at pictures in the Storey's Guide to Raising Sheep but some of the pictures are not really focused so it's hard to tell. If she's really short she may be a Shetland, but I am not sure about the wool looking the same. I was using the black face and legs to pick out breeds that have those features.
I got it! I got it! I got it! It's a 'cute' sheep. Well to me, it is!
Vicki and Ande, what a great comedy team you would make. Thanks for the research, and for cutting the Gordian knot!
